Kitsune – SS10 Collection
January 16, 2010
Based in Paris, and arguably known more for their electro music label than their clothing, Kitsune have just released their Spring / Summer collection. Based around distinguished pieces that can be worn in an everyday environment, Kitsune strive to create the ‘new classic’. Materials are carefully sourced to ensure they stand the test of time, and Kitsune bring this all together to put a modern twist on tradition.

Kitsune was founded back in 2002 and released its first clothing line at the Palais de Tokyo venue in Paris. Since then, the creative collective have found their clothes being stocked in stores from New York to London; been part of collaborations with APC, Colette and centuries-old Petit Bateau; as well as opening their virgin flagship store in Paris back in March ’08.

This season’s collection from Kitsune is based around the Golf Club / Country Club image and is full of pastel colours, slim silhouettes, classic fits, and a modern vibe. So kick back the loafers, grab yourself a cocktail, and whisk yourself off to the 1960s’ Cote d’Azur, all courtesy of Kitsune Maison.

So, make sure you’re the best dressed hacker at the pitch-and-putt this summer, and get some Kitsune in your game.

Sixpack France – SS10 Collection Trailer
January 10, 2010
These guys have been operating for little over ten years now and consistenly churn out thought-provoking, edgy stuff through their unique collaborations with global artistes. I look at Sixpack France in a similar way to Kitsune Maison, although Kitsune do much more on the music production side. But the essence is still the same… the feeling that their shop / HQ is a place for writers, DJs and fashion designers alike. It’s one of those brands that capitalises on sub-culture trends and thoughts, the romance of underground movements and activity – be it music, art or literature. But it is these sub-cultures that, today, reign supreme over us… and them.

One of my favourite blogs, Highsnobiety runs a really decent Sixpack France column that is well worth checking out.
